By default every domain name includes a public record (called a WHOIS) which lists the contact information, phone and email address of each domain name's owner. This information is freely available to the public.

If you do not want this information displayed to the general public, you have the option of adding a privacy curtain to the domain. If you do this, a generic proxy address will be listed instead and your contact information will be hidden from the public.

Privacy service is not available on all domain name types. For instance, .US domain names are not allowed to have curtain service due to registry rules.

Cost of domain name privacy service: $2.00
